Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Israeli Prime Minister accused, on Wednesday, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards of recruiting Israeli women to target the country, calling on its citizens to be “vigilant” in dealing with calls for recruitment from Iran.
Commenting on the “recruitment” of Israeli women for Tehran, Naftali Bennett said: “I commend the members of the General Security Service and the Israel Police for the successful operation that led to the thwarting of a hostile terrorist act targeting the State of Israel,” he said.
Prime Minister Bennett’s comment on the Iranian intelligence’s attempt to recruit several Israeli women was thwarted: “I commend the members of the General Security Service and the Israel Police for the successful operation that led to the thwarting of a hostile terrorist act targeting the State of Israel.
The Israeli Prime Minister added, “The State of Israel is engaged in a continuous battle against Iran. It is very clear that we are witnessing the unstoppable efforts and endeavors of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards to recruit Israeli citizens,” as he put it.
Ynet added, “These endeavors are not limited to the security and intelligence field only, but also extend to include efforts to influence the citizens of Israel and Israeli society with the aim of sowing polarization and disputes, destabilizing political stability in Israel and undermining the public’s confidence in the ruling authority,” he said.
The Israeli Prime Minister concluded by saying: “I call on the citizens of Israel to be vigilant against these attempts. It is possible that the people behind the information you consume or share on social media are the Iranians. To remove all doubt, make it clear that the long arm of the security services will reach whoever tries to harm the security of Israel,” he said.
